Double-jointed water snaffle with Comfort-lock system.
The mouthpiece resembles a double-jointed bit but cannot fold as much as a regular bit. Under pressure, the bit locks, turning it into a bar. This prevents the nutcracker effect and causes the bit to act more on the corners of the mouth rather than on the palate and tongue.
With less pressure on the reins, the bit returns to a single-jointed bit. This can help the horse learn to release the pressure on its own.
